Triple murder in Detroit, Police given wrong address 3 blocks away, neighbor mad at police for not finding bodies sooner

DETROIT, Mich. (WJBK) -Detroit police say they've made one arrest in the slayings of three people at an abandoned home that a relative said was witnessed by young children.

**When is there not a shooting/murder in Detroit?**

Police spokeswoman Sgt. Eren Stephens says in an email Friday morning that additional information about the arrest wasn't being immediately released. A police source, however, tells FOX 2's a victim's ex-boyfriend is under arrest.

It's believed a five- and one-year-old stayed inside a house on Detroit's west side for at least ten hours with their dead mothers and another man also found dead inside.

Police sources said 26-year-old Lauren Trotty, her relative India Coleman and their 24-year-old friend Curtis Clements were all shot in the head and found by a family member late Thursday morning.

"This happened around ten, eleven o'clock when he heard the gunshots. My oldest brother called the police, and they never came," said neighbor Brigitte Marray.

Police said the 911 caller gave officers the wrong address, so when police responded they found no disturbance not knowing they were five blocks away from the gruesome scene.

Police aren't sure who lives in the house. Neighbors said the two female victims were squatters, even borrowing electricity from a neighbor so their kids could have lights. However, Trotty's friends and family were quick to fire back and said she was excited about her new purchase.

Friends and family cried openly in the streets disgusted at how something like this could happen. Neighbors said there was a fight at the house before the shooting.

"I heard they got into like an altercation or something, and he said that he was going to come back and kill them," said family member Hollis Parks.

Detectives close to the investigation told us the shooting could be a result of a domestic dispute. Trotty just warned her family about an ex-boyfriend.

"She called me two days ago. That's all I can say. She sounded like she was in some trouble, and I told her to come to my house for her and my little cousin's safety," said another family member.
